He watched her back toward the trees with a raised brow. Did she really think that she could escape? Shaking his head, he replied "I'm merely making conversation. You say something, I reply. It's how it works." He vanished and reappeared behind her. "You shouldn't be rude my dear. I've let you live so far haven't I?" Disappearing once more, he reappeared in the tree above her. He gazed down at her. "I am cocky. It's one of my favorable traits."
"Not yet," he said with a smirk. "I haven't delved that far yet. I thought I'd let you feel safe a bit longer." The woman was always issuing a challenge. Perhaps he should let her live and go on the hunt. He'd have great fun breaking her. He could start with frequently visited places or people. It was an interesting idea.
Laughing at her, he let his eyes turn to the bright blue they did when he fed. "I would love to see you try shifter. You'd have to get by Malice first. She's quite protective." She'd enjoy the game. What the shifter didn't know was that she couldn't just hunt him. Malice was with him the majority of the time. Each protected the other.
"He's most always with her, but you may dispose of him as well." The two were a thorn in his side. He was going to make sure she didn't escape this time.

It didn't seem to take them long to reach Raven's home. He gazed at the place as they walked toward it. The lights were on as if waiting for her to come back home. He knew that others would be panicking long before now. He wasn't like everyone else. Granted he'd been stunned to see the woman he was seeing change, but he knew he'd come back to her if he ran away. She drew him.
He gave inward sigh when she let go of his hand to unlock the door. He'd enjoyed holding her hand and the closeness it showed. He cared for her. He wasn't quite sure of his true feelings yet, but he could never hurt her. It just wasn't in him. At her question, he shook his head and smiled. "I'm good, thank you. Go ahead if you were going to have something."
Chuckling, he said "You're right, but I'm a man. Some things that we say are foolish. When she asked him to have a seat, he took the chair closest to her. He sat back and gazed at her. "The beginning is usually the best place. Unless there's apart about a lover that would make extremely jealous, then you could leave that part out." He knew this had to be difficult for her, but there was nothing he could do to make it easier. He did want to know about her. What more did she have to reveal?

While Rhoan was busy amusing himself watching her react she glanced at the sky. There was still quite a few hours before he'd have to seek cover from the sun. Still that wasn't the only reason she was glancing up. She wasn't exactly thinking of her plan but she was sure she had one for escape. Her first stop after that though would be making Gabe safe.
Slowly she started backing towards the trees, never breaking eye contact with Rhoan as she spoke. "Childish? Is that what you think of me? Apparently I'm not the only one acting childish then because you've been replying to everyone of my jabs without fail. I'll admit though, you're pretty cocky," Raven said as she stopped her backwards momentium. She was closer to the trees but not so close to let him think she might be about to run.
"You haven't yet," Raven challenged her eyes going cold. She was growing tired of these games she was playing and was ready to get out of here. Find a way to keep this monster at bay and away from those she loved. She'd been alone most of her life and she wasn't about to let him take that away from her.
Raven sneered at him as he meantioned pushing buttons. She didn't want to provoke him into going to hunt Gabe down. She wasn't going to break either though. "Like I said this is between us vampire," Raven said coldly, "keep it that way because I can tell you if you harm him you won't be getting anything you want out of me. I will hunt you down and kill you," Raven said. Her threat was full of conviction showing him that she wasn't kidding or fooling around. If he wanted her to do anything for him, her loved ones were to be left out of this.
She already knew where the bookstore was and who it was he was talking about being with Tempest. "And how often is this man with her? Kinda hard to get rid of someone when witnesses are running about," Raven said. Her tone made it clear that she didn't like the idea of getting rid of this woman, her friend, but she had to convince him that she would.

Rhoan inwardly smiled at her thoughts. He knew she wouldn't mess this up. Not that he didn't trust her. He did. She was the only one he did. She knew the consequences of what would happen if they were discovered. He also knew that she wanted the mortals dead as bad as he did. No one crossed him and lived.
Taking a sip of his ale, he caught the entrance of a man. He looked back at the fire. This was Malice's scouting expedition and he wouldn't choose for her. When she found one, she'd let him know. Which she did.
At the tap on his arm, he turned and quickly looked the man over. Not bad. Facing the fire once more, he told her "Not bad my darling. He seems to be a very good choice. If he's the one you want, go get him. I shall meet you shortly."

Rhoan watched her with a grin. It greatly amused him that she wouldn't accept defeat. She was trying to think of a plan to get away and he didn't have to read her mind to know that. He was curious to see if she would find a way.
He chuckled at her swipe. "I know the meaning of quite a few words. Why don't you quit acting childish and let's settle this like adults." She would not win, but that didn't seem to bother her. "Think? Why no my dear, you have it all wrong. I know."
"Well that's good. Now that we have that out of the way, we should be able to continue." At her next words, he tilted his head at her. "True, but I've been a lot longer than most. It's easier for me to get through instead of a newly turned. I've had centuries to hone my powers."
Smirking, he said "Ah temper, temper. I see we have pushed a very important button." He knew that mentioning her lover would anger her. If she hadn't responded in anger, then she really didn't care or was lying or she was skilled at hiding the truth. Laughing at her statement, he simply said "Keeping track of you is not a problem. Who said threaten? You'll know when you find him lying dead somewhere."
"Close to the center of town. It's within walking distance of the museum. She doesn't go there much anymore. There's a man with her. On occasion they are seen in town. Often with a little girl." He just didn't know where they went after they left town. The men he'd hired had turned up nothing. The fools. Perhaps the shifter would do better.

The walk back to the house didn't take very long at all but it gave Raven a little bit of time to organize her thoughts. She wasn't sure what all she was going to tell Gabe. She wasn't sure what was too much for him to know and if it would send him running for the hills. Watching her turn from wolf to human hadn't seemed to phase him very much she wondered how her being able to cast spells and such would go over.
She walked up the stairs to her front door with him and only when she had to unlock her door did she take her hand out of his. She pushed the door open to allow him entrance and began to hang up her coat up. "Would you like anything?" she asked as she glanced into the den to find the fire still going in the fireplace. Good.
"You know, you shouldn't feel foolish telling me anything. I assure you compared to what you just saw and what I have to tell you, nothing you tell me will be foolish," she told him. After that she went over to her favorite chair and took as seat gazing into the fire. "Please have a seat," Raven said glancing back at Gabe and indicated the sofa or a chair he could draw closer to her if he liked. "Where would you like me to start?" she asked with a heavy sigh.

Raven made a sound of disgust about the idea. She wasn't in any mood to be 'played' with and she certainly wouldn't allow it to happen. She hadn't pulled any of her tricks out of her sleeve but she certainly had pleanty to pull from. She'd definately have to find a way to ward against vampires.
"A blessing? I don't even think you know what that word means," Raven shot back at him. Yeah she was still trying to provoke him. She wondered how much patience this vampire had. So far he hadn't reacted much to her jabs. "That's what you think," she replied. Okay so she wasn't about to commit suicide but she wasn't above making it look like suicide to fool this vamp.
"Wasn't looking for anything," she replied, her voice laced with her attitude. She hadn't cared all that much about her mortal family. Her father was more interested in teaching her to hid and be good at what she did and her mother well she wasn't going to go there. That woman didn't care about her daughter one bit. "You think so? Natural barriers are often stronger than ones erected to keep intruders out," Raven replied calmly. She was sure her block would remain strong.
"Leave him out of this. It's between us, no one else got it," Raven said hotly. A challenge huh? Yeah she was definately that and she was definately not one to intemidate or push around easily. "Or are you afraid that you can't keep track of me and the only way to keep me in line is to threaten him? Doesn't sound like you're all that powerful after all resorting to scare tactics," Raven said hoping to strike a nerve.
Raven could tell that he wasn't happy Tempest had escaped him. She wondered how to go about fixing this. "Oh? And what part of town is this bookstore suppose to be in?" Raven asked continuing to 'go along' with their little deal. She had no intention of killing her friend but now she knew she was in trouble and had to help her.

Malice could be a master at patience when she wanted to be. Of course that in itself proved to be a challenge in of itself sometimes. Afterall, Rhoan did keep her all cooped up most days and wouldn't allow her to play. Then again if she played too much attention would be drawn to them, not that she was bothered by mortals but she didn't need them coming after them in the daylight hours when the two were stuck in the house away from the sun.
Malice's eyes watched a man enter. He had a stature about him that clearly said he'd had a rough life but didn't complain about what life had thrown him. He was here to unwind for the night. She grinned as she watched him walk to the bar order a round before going to a table in the oppisite corner to sit and watch the other patrons of the pub.
Lightly tapping Rhoan's arm, Malice pointed him out wondering what her wonderful maker would think of him.

Once Jezel learned that Feanor was a craftsman, interest struck unexpectedly. She needed to know more. "Craftwork. That is absolutely fascinating, Mr. Feanor. You must be very good with your hands." As he was speaking of vampirism as if it was evil, she became slightly confused. Then Jezebel realized what was happening. "Mr. Feanor, you misunderstood me. I was not refering to being a walker of the night as evil. Though the Evil did not surface until I was first bitten, I do not believe it has anything to do with being a vampire," she said, while feeling a shudder crawl up her spine, as a drop of cold rain water would feel, "The Evil of which I speak of is a completely different spirit than that of my own. This monster is inside my heart, mind and body. She's a sleeping beast now, however, she may rip through my interior and take over my body, yet again. If I'm not careful, that is. The distaste from humans and vampire alike that I recieve is well deserved to my other half, however, I never know when others are hating me, Jezebel, or the Evil, which names herself, Anne."

"They are to be used in my craftswork. I hope to create fine jewels out of them," Feanor answered, then curiously lifted an eyebrow at her next words. Evil? He's never heard another vampire state that, of course he's not ever crossed paths with others of their kind. "Perhaps being a vampire would be considered as such. I hardly know." He smiled some after Jezebel finished speaking. "I've never met another creature as I am you see, what detestation do you find?" Feanor didn't see anything wrong with what they were, it's just how it was. Being mostly among humans he has had his share of fear from them but they were usually laid to rest on the account of trust.
