 Mystic Waters

Jezebel walked along the lake shore until she found a comfortable spot where the moon shone perfectly through the calm midnight sky. She looked up to take in the beauty of the lone symbol of peace, in her mind. She took a seat on a log that appeared it would comfort her for a few hours.

As she sat on the dead log, Jezebel began to think about the past. She tried so hard not to very often, however, sometimes it helped to clear her mind. It's been so long since there's been a night like this. Well, that I can enjoy. Anne gets all the fun these days, Jezebel thought with a frown, then smiling at the moment so beautiful.

Jezebel stood up after some time and walked to the edge of the water. The wind pushed only to a breeze. Lovely, she thought as she closed her eyes and lifted her chin towards the sky.

He knelt down by the water's cool edge and gazed into the surface. The moonlight cascaded down on the lake, shimmering and dancing upon the ripples created by the nocturnal life beneath. Feanor lingered over the pool and searched by sight for some time. Slowly smiling, he soon dipped his hands into the water and disturbed the elements until he retrieved what he sought. Looking at his prize above the surface, it would appear quite dull and considered nothing from its dark colored appearence. Feanor looked it over once more before stowing it away in the small bag beside him. He repeated this process at least four more times before standing.

Going through the trees, he soon picked up on another prescence. It felt like another vampire, yet he was not completely certain. Peering over the lake, he found a lady sitting beside it. "Good evening," he spoke up, a small smile on his face. "It's a lovely night."

As Jezebel was soaking the beautiful night in, she heard a noise somewhere. Her senses picked up footsteps and light breathing. As Jezebel kept her eyes closed, she long and slow breaths to calm herself. No need for Anne to make an appearance in such a wonderful location.

Jezebel slowly turned her head toward the origin of the greeting. She found a nice looking man behind her. Hopefully someone friendly. "Good evening," Jezebel responded, "and yes, it is a very lovely evening. Something about it that is almost magical. My name is Jezebel. If I may ask, what brings you out in these parts so late?"

"Indeed? You'll find I have to agree with you, signora." When she introduced herself, he gave a single respectful bow. "I am Feanor. ... I was out collecting stones within the lake before it froze over. Might I ask what brings a lady out here alone at night without escort?" Feanor soon sensed something familiar and he lightly smiled accompanied by a chuckle. "Of course, you are no ordinary lady, are you?"

"Stones? You have captured my curiousity. If I may be so bold as to ask, what are the stones for?" The strange, but very handsome, man then introduced himself. Feanor. Odd, but unique name. Looking Feanor over, Jezebel had to immediately looked away to keep from blushing.
Jezebel's head turned sharply back toward Feanor and her heart almost stopped when this new man sensed she was not particularly normal. She took a moment to gather herself and to calm her mind, so as to keep Anne at bay. Time to be honest, for once. "Of course I am not an ordinary lady, Mister Feanor. I wish to tell you of the evil inside of me. However, I fear you may never speak another word in my direction without a look of disgust upon your face, as previous encounters have turned out to be."

"They are to be used in my craftswork. I hope to create fine jewels out of them," Feanor answered, then curiously lifted an eyebrow at her next words. Evil? He's never heard another vampire state that, of course he's not ever crossed paths with others of their kind. "Perhaps being a vampire would be considered as such. I hardly know." He smiled some after Jezebel finished speaking. "I've never met another creature as I am you see, what detestation do you find?" Feanor didn't see anything wrong with what they were, it's just how it was. Being mostly among humans he has had his share of fear from them but they were usually laid to rest on the account of trust.

Once Jezel learned that Feanor was a craftsman, interest struck unexpectedly. She needed to know more. "Craftwork. That is absolutely fascinating, Mr. Feanor. You must be very good with your hands."
As he was speaking of vampirism as if it was evil, she became slightly confused. Then Jezebel realized what was happening. "Mr. Feanor, you misunderstood me. I was not refering to being a walker of the night as evil. Though the Evil did not surface until I was first bitten, I do not believe it has anything to do with being a vampire," she said, while feeling a shudder crawl up her spine, as a drop of cold rain water would feel, "The Evil of which I speak of is a completely different spirit than that of my own. This monster is inside my heart, mind and body. She's a sleeping beast now, however, she may rip through my interior and take over my body, yet again. If I'm not careful, that is. The distaste from humans and vampire alike that I recieve is well deserved to my other half, however, I never know when others are hating me, Jezebel, or the Evil, which names herself, Anne."
